Rob and Emily threw an ugly sweater party up in Philly that we drove 4 hours to attend. Luckily I adore them. They have to be one of the cutest couples ever, in that "we love each other and don't have to gross everyone out to prove it" kind of way, plus Emily and I share a birthday. The pictures are blurry and ridiculous, but a good time was still had by all.
As you can see by the top "prom pose" photo Sean and Patty also came to the party. We love them too.
Emily also won my heart by doing a pinterest craft from construction paper. Wins all around!

Light Tour
Early in December I bought a living social deal to go on a Light Tour with the Richmond Trolley. We went on the 4th with Jay and Kristel and had a lot of fun!

Sean's Birthday!
Two of my favorite people turned 24 on December 8th, both of them were in my bridal party. Sadly Jenny lives too far away for us to celebrate together, so she had to be content with an off key rendition of Happy Birthday on her voicemail from me. Sean however lived up by Old Town Alexandria, so we could visit him, and visit him we did!
We seem to know more people in Alexandria than we do in Richmond, so there was quite a group of awesome people out to celebrate his birthday. Sean was obviously there, along with his girlfriend Bridget. Will came out, as did Jori. Chrystal was there. And Mike and Nicole joined too! I kind of love how friends from all parts of both Taylor and my lives have become friends with each other as well.
We went to an awesome cheese shop called La Fromagerie where we consumed far too much wine and cheese, all of which was delicious. Also, oh my god the mac and cheese!!
The cat mask, for the record, came from the birthday card we gave Sean. It is supposed to make him irresistible to girls. Not that he needs to be, since he already has Bridge!
We stopped by an awesome coffee/gelato shop after that called Killer ESP which is adorably trendy and everyone working there was so friendly! Also, the salted caramel latte is delish.
Chrystal and I posed with some random adorable dog and then under Christmas lights.
Then we wandered into a restaurant/bar called The Light Horse where we spent the rest of the evening chatting and drinking a bit.
For the record in northern Virginia they really don't like it when you still have a vertical ID. Mines valid until like 2014 though, and I'll be damned if a grumpy bartender is going to make me get a new one with a picture where I'm not allowed to smile before I have to.
All in all it was a lovely evening, and I am glad Sean gave us an excuse to visit and have a good time.

Holiday Party #1
We were invited to a holiday party hosted by some old friends of Taylor's - the Gobe's - not too long ago. Always happy for an opportunity to dress up and spread holiday cheer we trucked out to middle of nowhere Virginia and quite enjoyed ourselves.
Will and Jori, who have both made appearances on the blog before, were in attendance as well, and a good time was had by all!
Also, can we talk about how much I love that holiday parties always have meatballs and baked brie. Both of which should be consumed at all points in time.

Celebrations
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4th mid-week weekend. It started with a trip to the drive in on Tuesday with my parents and brother. We ate bad for us food, played a very intense game of dominoes, and watched Spiderman. Which for the record I actually liked, even though it was a tad bit slow.
As you can see we were very excited.
Wednesday was spent being lazy all morning and then making cupcakes in the afternoon. We then had dinner out at Lindeve and Don's and played with sparklers and floating lanterns. They were awesome.
Hope everyone had just as much fun as we did!

Weekend Wrap Up
We managed to cram quite a bit into this weekend. Most of it involved drinking. Highlights below. Pictures included. You know the drill.
Taylor's band had a gig at Current
My parents came along. We ate burgers and Dad and I got drunk while Mom and I judged people. It was awesome.
I've decided to start keeping all of the wrist bands I get from these things. (Not really)
I made coconut chocolate chip waffles. They were totally on the diet plan.
We went to the Wine Expo with Kristel and Jay. Tay and I picked up a bottle of cider.
We went to DC to see Mike and Will - two of Taylor's wedding party. (We saw Kym, Nicole, and Jori too!)
I met Will's snake Dils who is more photogenic than I am in this picture. She was a sweetheart.
We ate yummy pizza at Pizza Paradiso. I recommend the four cheese pizza.
We went bowling. I got two strikes and broke 100 on my second game. My norm is like 60, so I was pretty excited.
We stayed up late playing the grown up version of apples to apples (which Tay won) and generally having a good time.
Taylor started work on the design for the wedding website and the save the dates!

Reply Card
I am LOVING getting the reply cards in the mail. So far we've only gotten three, and all three have come from those on my side of the wedding party, but they've been fabulous, and I am impatient waiting for the rest of them to arrive. (I'm resisting the urge to nag people for them.)
